Do you believe that one day Bitcoin will be worth 1 million US dollars? If you believe it, are you willing to exchange all your belongings for Bitcoin?

It is estimated that 99.99% of people are unwilling to do so. This is too risky! But Dutch businessman Te Hutu proved with his actions that he dared to do this.

In 2017, the 39-year-old Taihutu had a successful career and a happy family. However, in the eyes of everyone's doubts, he sold his well-run company, a large house of 200 square meters, all furniture, and three cars, even his children's toys.

He converted all the money into Bitcoin, then moved to the campground with his wife and three children to live a nomadic life.

He said: "This experiment will continue until 2020. I believe that our assets will at least triple in these three years." ”

Getting involved with Bitcoin

Regardless of the safety of his family and the education of his children, he spent all his money on Bitcoin. In the eyes of ordinary people, is he crazy because he wants to get rich?

Tai Hutu said: "I do this not to get rich suddenly, but to change my life, give up material constraints, and spend time with my family. This minimalist life is worth a gamble." ”

Then why didn’t he choose cash deposits, bonds, and stocks, but the riskier Bitcoin?

Before 2016, Tai Hutu was a workaholic. I have been busy at work for at least 12 hours a day. This state has lasted for 11 years. I have no time to spend with my family, let alone travel.

It wasn’t until January 2016, when Taihutu’s father passed away, that he realized that his father’s life was complete—he loved football and became a professional athlete, while he, “like a hamster trapped on a wheel,” was busy working and making money, but he forgot to ask himself what he wanted.

Tai Hutu decided to sell the company and take his family with him to realize his dream of traveling around the world.

As early as 2010, Tai Hutu had heard about Bitcoin, but his knowledge only stopped at the price. It can be said that this journey completely changed their family's life.

On that trip, Tehutu kept running into various people who used cryptocurrency. In Bali, he met a South African investor who quit his job in 2017 and entered the cryptocurrency field full-time; on the beach in Australia, he had a long chat with a Bitcoin enthusiast in Dubai.

“Something is quietly happening in the world,” Tehutu was fascinated, “Bitcoin and the blockchain technology behind it are changing the role of money and banks in society. Compared to institutions such as banks, I think Bitcoin is another good choice. ”

So later on, there was the story of selling cars and houses. Whenever someone laughed at him for being too crazy, he would say: "If you never take risks, life must be boring." ”

How has he been in the past two years?

In mid-December 2017, the price of Bitcoin soared to US$20,000 per coin. This was great news for a person who had just "lost all his money" to buy Bitcoin. It was as if the Taihutu prophet was possessed and had anticipated this wonderful scene.

Tai Hutu did not "just give up when things get better", he insisted on the Bitcoin adventure plan. Exploring the future of Bitcoin with people from all over the world, their family is affectionately called the "Bitcoin Family" by the media. The Wall Street Journal and Asian News Media also produced documentaries for them.

Then, within a month, the price of Bitcoin halved, and the family’s assets shrank by half.

In a media interview, Tehutu explained: “I didn’t expect Bitcoin to fall so fast. During this time, I have been focusing on popularizing cryptocurrencies and blockchain to people around the world. I rarely do transactions and occasionally use stablecoins such as USDT for hedging to increase the number of Bitcoins. ”

To date, Tai Hutu has popularized Bitcoin in 40 countries. He is sometimes invited to be a guest on programs, and sometimes goes to bars and blockchain events to give speeches. He makes money by being a translator and writing. Of course, he eventually converted the money into Bitcoin.

With less than nine months left until 2020, Bitcoin is still hovering around $4,000, which is still three or four times short of the original goal.

Same as selling houses and trading Bitcoin, Zhao Changpeng gained the top exchange Binance, while Tai Hutu led his family to live a wandering life.

A media reporter once asked him, what if Bitcoin keeps falling and you lose all your money?

“That's not what the whole thing is about. As long as we're all together as a family, it's no big deal. And if that happened, I would find a job and start all over again. ”
